Fond du Lac Athletics -

We have an update from the Fond du Lac High School (FHS) leadership team.

After serving in different capacities in the district since 2011, Arik Gunderson, FHS athletic director, has shared that he will be resigning from his position to take a leadership position in another district.

Mr. Justin Marien, our district director of communications and strategy, will take on the additional duties and serve as the interim athletic director as we begin a search for an interim athletic director for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year.

In the coming months, a search will be conducted for the athletic director for the 2024-25 school year.

We are confident that there will be a smooth transition and a great continuance of our co-curricular experience, given Mr. Marien served the last five years as West Allis Central’s athletic director before joining the Fond du Lac staff as our director of communications and strategy.

Along with the support of the Fond du Lac high school administration, we ensure Fond du Lac athletics remain an important and thriving co-curricular experience for our community.
