At the November 27, 2023 Fond du Lac School District (FDL-SD) Board of Education Meeting, we were thrilled to showcase the completion of a modernization project in our Community Board of Education meeting room and our district’s enhanced online video/broadcast capability. This project reflects the District’s ongoing commitment to fostering high-quality communication and strong community engagement.
The new system replaces the original one installed in the Administrative Building back in the 2001-02 school year. It boasts high-definition monitors for improved, more accessible viewing by our community members attending Board of Education meetings in person. Additionally, the system incorporates several upgrades, such as high-definition broadcast cameras and a modern switching/multimedia mixer, to enhance the online viewing experience for community members tuning in from home.
A big thank you goes out to our district’s Technology Services Department and our community partner, Camera Corner Connecting Point, for successfully completing this crucial upgrade. Special appreciation is also due to Scott DeLorme (FDL-SD Computer Technician) and Adrian Tucker (FDL-SD Network Manager), both integral to this project and the unsung heroes working "behind the scenes" to manage the production—both online and in person—of each of our Board of Education meetings. Thank you, Scott and Tucker.
"Changing Outcomes" has been our District’s purpose and focus for the past three years, and we are confident that this investment will contribute to positive transformations for both our Board of Education and the broader community of the district’s happenings.
