The Fond du Lac Cardinals Athletic Department is announcing Ms. Lindsay Lewison's hiring as the new head coach of the Warbirds girls hockey team.
Coach Lewison will lead the Warbirds for the 2024-25 season, bringing a strong educational and hockey background to the program. She played collegiate hockey for the Marian University women’s hockey team from 2017 to 2021, serving as team captain during the 2020-21 season. Additionally, Coach Lewison was a Marian women’s lacrosse team member for the 2019-20 season. Before her time at Marian, she played hockey at Prior Lake High School in Minnesota. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science, with a minor in Coaching, from Marian University.
Beyond her coaching responsibilities, Lewison has joined Theisen Middle School as a health education teacher. Before joining the Fond du Lac School District, she was an educational assistant and physical/health education teacher at Sheboygan North High School.
Coach Lewison’s connection to the Fond du Lac area and her passion for hockey make her an outstanding choice to lead the Warbirds. The program is excited to have a role model who will inspire our student-athletes as they build on their past successes and strive for new achievements.
“I could not be more excited to be named head coach of the Warbirds,” said Lewison. “I am eager to bring my wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.”
“Let’s all please welcome Coach Lewison to the Cardinal Family,” said Kevin Flegner, Fond du Lac Athletic Director. “I know she will do great things in our program and in the sport of girls hockey.”
“We appreciate everyone’s patience during the search for our new head coach, and a special thanks to our upperclass students for their leadership during this transition.”
Please join us in congratulating Ms. Lewison as the next head coach of the Warbirds. We are excited to have her as part of the Fond du Lac Athletics team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our student-athletes.
