The Fond du Lac School District is pleased to announce administrative changes effective August 8, 2024.

Kelly Sarah will serve as the interim principal at Waters Elementary School, succeeding Kristin Bowers who will become the Chief of Schools, for the 2024-25 school year. Ms. Sarah, who has been the assistant principal at Woodworth Middle School for three years, interviewed with the leadership team from Waters and our collective principal group.

Mackenzie Olszewski will replace Ms. Sarah as the Woodworth assistant principal. She has been an assistant principal at Fond du Lac High School since the 2022-23 school year.

The high school assistant principal position will be filled internally through our administrative hiring pool. 

Additionally, we are announcing the following elementary Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) positions for the 2024-25 school year:

  • Alex O’Connor will take over the Chegwin position from Melanie Steinbarth, the incoming principal.

  • Drew Glaeser (Pier), William Frankie (Lakeshore) and Gretchen Jones (Roberts) are new to the TOSA role.

  • Stacy Mansueto (Roberts to Evans) is transitioning to a new school.

  • Nathan Brunnbauer (Parkside), Barb Korneil-Krueger (Rosenow), Brianna Owen (Waters) and Dan Thuerwachter (Riverside) remain at their current schools.


Only the high school assistant principal position remains to complete the district leadership and school support teams for the 2024-25 school year.
