Fond du Lac School District Kindergarten Enrollment for 2025-26
Enrollment Dates: Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, to Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.

Key Details:
Who Needs to Enroll: Students new to the district and not currently enrolled in Fond du Lac 4K or other early education programs (e.g., early childhood, phonology, preschool speech and language).
Times: Enrollment is open 9a–2:30p during the designated week.
What to Bring:
Proof of Age: A birth certificate or baptismal record.
Proof of Residency: Two documents, such as a property tax statement, closing statement, mortgage statement or an active lease. Originals will be returned.
Eligibility Requirements:
Wisconsin law requires children to be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
Children turning five between September 2, 2025, and December 1, 2025, may request early entrance with administrative approval according to our Board of Education Policy.
Wisconsin statutes state, “Except as provided in s.115.01(2) and s.115.28(8), no child may be admitted to kindergarten unless he or she is 5 years old on or before September 1, in the year he or she proposes to enter school.”

Additional Information:
Wisconsin Statute 118.33(6)(cm) mandates that children entering first grade must have completed 5-year-old kindergarten or obtained an exemption.
