SSM Health Greater Fond du Lac has donated $20,000 to Fondy CARES, a school-based mental health program in the Fond du Lac School District. This program collaborates with local agencies to provide comprehensive mental health services to 6,400 students across all district facilities during the school day.

“This support enables us to engage with parents, mental health professionals, and school staff to enhance children and adolescents' lives,” said Melissa Schepp, Fondy CARES Supervisor. “There are definite positives in offering these therapeutic mental health services in schools. In school-based settings, families, educators, and therapists are all focused on specific positive outcomes that improve the quality of life for the children in their care.”

The funding removes financial obstacles to therapy, broadens group and individual therapy, increases internships, enhances community partnerships—including bilingual services—and addresses waitlists and mentorship needs.

The Fond du Lac School District graciously thanks SSM Health for their support as this will greatly impact students and their families in our learning community.
