Our schools were filled with Halloween spirit today! Students and staff across the district showed off creative costumes in festive parades, bringing smiles and Halloween cheer to classmates, teachers, and families. The Fond du Lac School District proudly announces that Terese Weiler has been named this year’s Outstanding Gifted and Talented (GT) Coordinator by the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted. This distinguished award highlights educators who have made significant strides in advancing gifted and talented education.
Terese demonstrates excellence by making a notable difference in schools and our district. Her leadership has been instrumental in creating dynamic opportunities for students to thrive academically, while her dedication to families has strengthened the partnership between school and home.
Terese’s tireless efforts in advocating for students and enhancing our gifted and talented programs have enriched the educational experience for countless learners.
Since joining the district in the 2013-14 school year, she has transformed learning to ensure students are supported and nurtured. The Fond du Lac School District celebrates Terese Weiler’s well-deserved recognition and extends its deepest gratitude for the energy, enthusiasm and expertise she brings to our community every day.

High school students in AP Psychology brought creativity to their learning by completing brain projects based on the personalities of interesting characters. It was incredible to see their academic knowledge shine through, alongside their artistic talents and personal interests.


Walking into our schools, it is inspiring to witness the creativity and talent of our students. Their collaboration with staff often leads to incredible work that enhances the visual appeal of our school communities. The halls at Woodworth are a great example of this.


The Fond du Lac School District proudly announces that Stacy Cappazzo has been named the Wisconsin Health and Physical Education (WHPE) Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. This prestigious award honors educators who have made significant contributions to the field of health and physical education.
Stacy has exemplified excellence through her leadership in providing a comprehensive physical education program incorporating the Essential Components of Physical Education. She has shown commendable dedication to her students and the broader school community by actively volunteering and contributing to professional associations.
The award recognizes educators with exceptional merit in at least three areas, including innovative teaching practices, publications, presentations, research or special projects. Stacy’s commitment to student assessments and fostering a positive, healthy environment for learning has set her apart as a leader in her field.
As the beloved physical education teacher at Pier Elementary School, Stacy has been shaping the health and wellness of our Fond du Lac School District students since the 2004-05 school year. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and grateful for the passion she brings to our school community every day.


We are incredibly proud of our district’s fine arts program and have exciting achievements to celebrate this week.
Congratulations to Jaden Gaskell, Allison Moore, Noah Dietrich, Victoria Dietenberger, Morgan Cox and Ashanti Vazquez, who have been selected to perform with the prestigious Wisconsin State Music Association (WSMA) Honors Ensembles. This recognition is reserved for the most musically talented students in the state, and we are thrilled that Jaden and Allison represented us in the band, while Noah, Victoria, Morgan and Ashanti represented us in the choir.
In addition, our FHS Symphonic Winds and Percussion (SWAP) band has been selected to perform at the Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA) convention as the sole high school band in the state invited to showcase their talent. The Fondy SWAP performance will occur this Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, at 2:45p.
We congratulate all these students for their outstanding achievements and for representing our district with excellence in the arts.


At Rosenow, and throughout our district, classrooms are filled with inspirational messages for our scholars. This room welcomes students with "glows" as they enter the learning environment. The future of the world is in this classroom—and in all of our classrooms.


At Pier, students tested their knowledge of the human body through a fun and engaging Kahoot quiz. It was a joy to see the excitement and celebration as they shared what they had learned together as a class.


Last week at Woodworth, physical education students showcased impressive teamwork through outdoor adventure education activities, combining physical challenges with mutual support for one another.

Girls (Grades 4-8) and Boys (Grades 3-8) interested in basketball camps this October and November can sign up at FDLrecdept.com. Camps are led by Fondy High’s basketball programs. Girls’ sessions are on Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, 2024: Grades 4-6 from 9-10a, and Grades 7-8 from 10-11a. Boys’ sessions are on Saturdays, Oct. 26, Nov. 2, and Nov. 9, 2024: Grades 3-5 from noon-1:30p and Grades 6-8 from 1:30-3p.


Last week, Sabish physical education students took advantage of 'A Little Fresh Air' during class. In true Wisconsin fashion, they embraced the outdoors, knowing how quickly the weather can change.


Last week, our ACE Academy hosted an open house, bringing together families, industry professionals and students to showcase the program. As a district, we are committed to providing opportunities that introduce students to a variety of post-graduation pathways. ACE continues to deliver invaluable benefits for their future success.


Last week, our Technology Services Department hosted an after-school session for teachers to explore Kami, a tool that enhances classroom engagement. It provided a great opportunity for staff to collaborate, share insights and discuss successful teaching strategies. We appreciate our teachers' dedication to continually improving their support for students' academic growth.


The Wisconsin Association of School Boards has designated October 6 through 12 as Wisconsin School Board Week. Fondy Schools would like to share our appreciation for each member of our Board and the great work they do for our district. All of the board members dedicate many hours to changing outcomes for our students, teachers and community. We appreciate your partnership and commitment to making our Fond du Lac School District a world-class organization.


The Cardinals Marching Band is bringing music and excitement to all nine elementary schools today. Our talented high school musicians are touring each school, giving our young scholars a chance to enjoy fantastic music and the beautiful fall weather. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the season and showcase the talent in our district.
