Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
A STEM School requires a program that really focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Our leadership regularly looks to innovative practices, curriculums, and pedagogy to implement the best, research-based practices that are available. Our teaching staff is dedicated to ensuring that our students benefit from what they are able to offer them and we encourage our parents to be participants on this road to their child’s education.
STEM uses a combination of College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) which puts students in the driver’s seat of their math class, and our projects that integrate and use real-world applications of their math skills.
All students at STEM are required to take 4 years of science as well as math in high school. As seniors, these courses are often integrated into their Senior Capstone course and may be taken at the college, or tech school level.
Students also take engaging engineering courses throughout their middle and high school experience. These hands-on courses range from computer science classes to other courses that teach them AutoCAD programming, woodworking, 3D modeling, printing, and CNC.
